Track every transfer in your account and keep all proof documents. If there is a gap, authorities usually ask for prior payment evidence.

Tip: do not wait for the last Sal Klita month to start job hunting; banking and admin delays can be long.

You are usually entitled to an Ulpan voucher or a free public Ulpan. Activate this right quickly after Aliyah.

Register as early as possible once your temporary ID is active; seats are limited by city/session.

The right to free Ulpan is valid for 18 months after Aliyah. Do not miss this deadline.

Golden rule: without an appointment on MyVisit/GoVisit, you will not enter Misrad Hapnim (ID) or Misrad Hatachboura (licence).

Appointment required at Misrad Hapnim. Use MyVisit to book or you will be turned away.

Your biometric Teoudat Zehout is then delivered by mail (or via SMS code flow depending on process).

It's your National Insurance. As an Oleh you're exempt from health contributions for the first 12 months (if inactive). Important: Registering unlocks family allowances and unemployment if needed.

Verify your status online after registration. A simple address or civil-status mismatch can block benefits.

Enrollment with a health fund (Maccabi, Clalit, Meuhedet or Leumit) is mandatory. For unemployed Olim, health coverage is generally free during the first year.

Bring ID, bank details and an active phone. Without completed enrollment, you cannot use the national health basket.

Licence conversion. You have 5 years after your Aliyah to convert your foreign licence. It's a simple formality with no exam.

Keep your submission receipt and appointment confirmation email. During busy periods, slots can be rescheduled.

• Eye test: At an approved optician (Tofes Yarok).
• Form: Fill in the application online on GOV.IL.
• Office appointment: Final conversion at Misrad Hatachboura.

New Oleh privilege with your municipality.

Arnona discount is not automatic: submit a municipality form with your lease contract and Teoudat Oleh.

If you share an apartment, the discount generally applies to your declared share.

Many Olim lose money in the first months because tax points are not correctly applied on payroll.

Confirm with your employer that Olim tax points are reflected on your payslip.

Practical action: update your Tofes 101, then contact Mas Hachnassa if relief is still missing.

   Partner, Cellcom, Hot Mobile and Pelephone have stores everywhere. Some airports have Golan or Rami Levy counters — cheapest option on arrival.

   eSIM

   Partner and Cellcom offer eSIM. Convenient if your phone supports it — activated in minutes with no physical card needed.

   Number portability

   You can keep your foreign number temporarily or port your Israeli number between operators for free (MNP).
