• Rova Alef & centre — Historic Ashdod core. Older stock than the marina: check renovation, insulation, and elevators.

• Ashdod Yam — Southern beach strip. Beach proximity: busier in summer — visit off-season to judge noise.

• Rova Bet (Quarter B)Among the lowest asking rents in October 2026 listings: ₪3,768 on average, all flat sizes (63 listings).
• HaKirya, Marina, Quarter 15Among the most expensive: ₪8,500 to ₪10,750 on average, on few listings.

   Arnona — Put Arnona (municipal tax) in your name on key day, then apply for the olim discount: up to 90% on the first 100 m² for 12 months, to request within 24 months of Aliyah.

   City olim department — The municipality has an absorption department that guides olim: advisors, ulpan, jobs, Arnona discount, school registration. The office map also lists local contacts in Ashdod.

   Ulpan — Free ulpan registration goes through your Aliyah Ministry advisor, who refers you to a class in Ashdod.

   Health — Pick your Kupat Holim. The city hospital is Samson Assuta Ashdod Medical Center, opened in 2017.

   School — Public school registration goes through the municipality. Call the school to ask what support it gives children who do not speak Hebrew yet.

• TrainAshdod Ad Halom station reaches Tel Aviv in about 35 minutes. No trains on Saturday.
• JobsThe port of Ashdod is Israel’s largest (about 60% of port cargo). Many residents also commute towards Tel Aviv.
• ShelterAt every viewing, check there is a safe room (mamad) in the flat or a shelter less than a minute away.
